I’m a great believer of Sod’s Law and can you blame me?
I swear everything is out to annoy me… All day I have been searching for the russian version of a t.A.T.u album, getting the english version first, then having to wait 6 hours for the proper Russian version.
Than, I wanted one of the songs in English, and it does exist in English, but guess what! I can’t find the damn thing anywhere… All the supposed English versions are the Russian version.
Now had it just been that then fair enough, I would have disregarded it as just being a bit of bad luck.
A few days ago, after being out the room, I came back in and sat down with my laptop only to discover than whilst I was signed into MSN and could use it fine, I couldn’t visit any websites. So I repair the connection, only now I can’t connect to either. So after alot of messing about, I end up having to be a new user on XP, with my old desktop and alllll my stuff in places they don’t belong.
So I thought fair enough, I keep doing what I was before it messes up, and lo-and-behold, my page-up key had magically gone haywire, and the little flashing cursor always jumps back to the beginning of what I’m typing, and I can’t scroll down at all. Nor can I click anything on my desktop. I managed to find a nice program that disables keys, so I disable the page-up/down, end and home keys.
Problem solved.
I decided to back everything up and reformat the next day, and whilst I’m waiting for stuff to copy, I’m playing some random game. “How annoying is that beeping every so often?!” I think to myself. “Who uses daft music like that anyways?”
About 2 mins after the beeping started, there was a kind of… zapping noise… and the screen went black.
Now, that beeping was the battery running out… So I try to get the charging light to come on again but to no avail! The (new!!!1111) charger had just totally died. Just like the old one did (and seriously, don’t get me started on that!)
Turns out it was still in the 60 day waranty, so they say they’ll send a new one in the next day or so.
Good thing I backed everything up, so I can listen to all my music on my other laptop.
Or so you would think… but I discovered when I went to find it that the folder aptly named “Music” kind of… wasn’t there anymore.
I can’t even begin to describe how much restraint on my behalf that it took to stop my other laptop going right out the window and/or being set on fire. Knowing my luck this week, the second option would result in burning the whole house down.
I am not having a good week…
