I was doing a survey online just now, and the following question came up: “Please enter your date of birth” with 3 dropdown menus: dd (day) mm (month) and yyyy (year).

Fair enough, I thought, until I get to the year bit, and it ranges from 1920-2006.
How could a person born this year be filling it out?! Newborns can’t even read, or walk so filling out an online survey is just out of the question…

People really need to pay attention to what it is they’re doing!
