Kangie’s Rant

{June 27, 2006}   Grrr!

Why does everything have to be my fault?

A few days ago I bought techthisout.net for a nice sum and all of a sudden, I’m such a bad person for agreeing to the price the (now ex-)owner offered me…

I said I’d give him a certain amount, and he said that was too low. So I told him to offer how much he would accept for it, he did, I agreed. I sent him the money, he transferred the domain to me, and that was, I thought, the end of it all. He got the however much he wanted for the site he was gonna close down that day anyways, and I got the domain.

Now it turns out, it’s dreadful because people keep offering him 5 times what I paid, and I apparently shouldn’t have let him sell it to me for that price because it was “too low”.

Unfortunatly, I can’t have a whole lot of sympathy, I mean come on. Would you pay more than the person wanted just because you knew it was worth more?! That’s not how bargaining works…

Very true indeed, you wouldn’t pay more for something than you had too.
