I’m now back using my original laptop! The f***ing bit where the powersupply keeps breaking is taped up well, with bits either side to prevent it from bending, snapping or generally malfunctioning.
Jamie reached the conclusion that wires in the old charger must have been touching and causing the page-up key to freak out, as it’s fine now with the new adapter….

I swear people need to invent power supplies that DO NOT BREAK! It’s a laptop, so come on, the wires gonna be bent about, so make it so it can withstand it! Not only was it 2 identical chargers for this laptop that died due to the wire being bent, the plastic covering on the wire of the charger on the old laptop was splitting, and you could see all the pretty silver wire, which no doubt would have fried me/something at some point shortly before it stopped working sometime in the near future…

Here’s to hoping I still have a good year with this laptop, (I refuse to buy a 3rd charger!) boy, I missed sitting it on my lap and getting my legs fried by the crappily placed fan (it’s underneath, so when you sit the laptop down like a normal person, it overheats (burning you to death) and cuts out, meaning it has to be skilfully balanced…) and getting randomly electrocuted (God knows how! I’ll be doing something, and if feelings could have words, it would be like “BZZZZZT!!!!”)…

Oh well, at least it keeps me on my toes, even if I do happen to have third degree burns and/or be screaming at the time…
