Kangie’s Rant

{September 07, 2006}   OMG!

As if it’s been a month since I last posted… sorry people!
Guess I’ve just been feeling too good natured to sit ranting, but that stops here!

I’m refering to this.

If you read the comments at the bottom, alot of people say that customers might find it offensive or scary, and yes, they have a point, but had they bothered to read the article, they’d see that she worked in an office and only had contact with customers over the phone.

But no. On and on they whinge, saying if you don’t want to look mainstream, then you should work for a non-mainstream company, and not a “normal” one.
Now forgive me if I’m wrong, but I was bought up to judge people by who they were, and schools are always saying bullying and descrimination is bad, so why is descrimination against people with tattoos allowed?

I have earrings, but it doesn’t affect who I am… I don’t look anything like some thug that’s gonna knife you if you look at them funny, as for one, I’m a girl, and secondly, having your ears pierced or a tattoo is no different, regarless if its one ear piercing, 10 ear piercings, a lip piercing, a small tattoo on your ankle, or tattoos up your arms and all over your back.

If everyone wants to generalise, then anyone who who drinks a glass of wine a week is an alcoholic, and anyone who is on any medication is a low-life, mindless drug addict.

Oh, and if you’re reading this, you: spend too much time on the net, are a complete geek, and have no life.

:D
