Kangie’s Rant

{April 12, 2007}   Oooops! Yet again I don’t post for ages…

Something I saw on the BBC news site just kinda annoyed me..

http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?sortBy=2&threadID=6013&edition=1&ttl=20070412103048&#paginator

I’ve noticed for a while on the “Have your say” (HYS) part of the website, that alot of the people posting have no real clue of what the world is really like..

Alot of the “Recommended” (and thats ove 200 other people who agree with them, which is quite worrying) go on about how single mothers are all complete slappers who’ll ’sleep with anything that has a pulse’ and who only have children to sponge off the government. They say that the mothers don’t know who any of their childrens dads are, and that they can’t be bothered to work at relationships at all…

What the hell?! They need to get a clue seriously.. Do they all think that life is so simple? Do they think the dads always stick around and its the evil woman tho force them never to have contact? I know quite a few people who live with their mum who have regular contact with their dad too, and I’ve read many a story about how the fathers just walk out never to be seen again.

As for the whole not trying in a relationship, there is such a thing as realising you made a mistake with someone, of simply falling out of love with them. It happens every day, why do you think there are so many divorces these days, but it seems that you’re supposed to live a miserable life with a guy you don’t get on with, or has made your life hell, just so your children can grow up with 2 parents… No doubt all the twats on the HYS will be the first to tell a friend who gets beaten up by her husband to leave them and take the kids…

They’re not even happy with children having one parent though, as the woman shouldn’t be sponging off the government, so apparently should go out and get a job. They need to make up their minds and try living a real live and realise that things just aren’t as simple in life as it is in the fairytale in their heads.

They’ll be saying that all wars should be stopped, and that poverty should just go away next… Get a grip all you morons out there who think that everything is just so fixable when it isn’t…

Three6Mafia says:

Just killing some boredom,

“Do they think the dads always stick around and
its the evil woman tho force them never to have contact?”

Some ‘fathers’ may not stick around, that’s a very true fact, but also it needs to be addressed that alot of fathers are also asked to leave, without being given a choice, which is true in my case. I’ve wanted to stay on communicative terms with the mother of my child but it seems all of my attempts have been quashed.
It was just recently (16th of july) that my daughter turned the grand ol’ age of 1(one), I sent a text message, attempted several phone calls (which were ignored) and also sent a present which i could say with almost 100% certainty that it had reached it’s destination and found the bin quick smart.
When it comes to mothers such as this, there is no reasoning, and it’s any wonder why non-custodial fathers give up. However, there being no excuse for doing so, it just further reitterates the age old proverb “you can’t draw blood from a stone”.

“No doubt all the twats on the HYS will be
the first to tell a friend who gets beaten
up by her husband to leave them and take the kids…”

I could not agree with you more, if this were to occur to any of my female friends i would most certainly be the first to suggest that they abort the relationship. Yet i would also be the first to make damn sure that they still offer means of communication for the father, given that he’s willing to treat this means of communication with respect.
Like it or lump it, you two as parents may or may not have made the mistake of not wearing/taking any form of contraception, so be willing to accept responsibility for those actions, be it apart or together.
